TERRIFIC TUESDAY!

Why is it so terrific you ask????
Because my WONDERFUL husband surprised me today with tickets to see.....

Yes, that's right, I will be seeing her live in concert on October 12th in Little Rock! I'm SOOOO EXCITED! I had mentioned this to my husband, but thought he had forgotten and since the tickets went on sale yesterday, I asked him, just kidding around, what seats we had to her concert. Then, he told me the section and row! I was SHOCKED! He really did remember! He had planned to give them to me for mother's day, but I guess I ruined that a little bit! What a great way to start my day! Thanks so much sweetie!

Something that is not so terrific today...

Laundry.
I swear it is breeding in our house and I cannot figure out how to make it stop! I just try to remind myself that at least I'm not in the Duggar family...I love em, but their amount of laundry would send me to the crazy house!

I have two more things that make this day
T-E-R-R-I-F-I-C.....

These two little morsels!
(And yes, we stayed in our pjs all day...)

Lucy spent most of the day drinking her snot as it poured out of her nose (sick...I know.) and Lily spent the day hacking up a lung! We've had the cool mist humidifier on all day and it will be on tonight, so hopefully they will sleep more comfortably!

Also, we got some of this....

This stuff is crazy, but it really helps to drain all that junk out!

Well, we've had supper, the girls have been bathed, and are now playing with daddy before bedtime! Today is the 2nd day in a row that they have been taking a nap when he comes home for lunch, so he's missed seeing them during the day and I'm pretty sure they have missed him too!

Lucy LOVES to stand on her head!

I'm pretty sure he's crazy about these two little girls...

I'm pretty crazy about them too!

Once we get them in bed, we're gonna watch some DVR'd A I! I'm not too crazy about this season, but yet I still watch!

It has been a Terrific Tuesday, minus the laundry...

(which I'm finally done with!)

A Relaxing Weekend

It has been TOO long, since we've had a nice, relaxing weekend and this weekend, we got one! It was great! Since the girls had been sick for 10 days straight, we were all pretty worn out. Ryan and I are spoiled when it comes to sleep...the girls sleep on average, 12 hours a night and they only wake up during the night when they are sick...so for 10 nights...they woke up every 30 minutes! Their fever would be over 104 and we would put them in lukewarm bathes for about 45 minutes to bring it down. We did this 3-4 times a night....it was a rough several days, but Thursday, their fever just disappeared! Since the girls were feeling better, my mother-in-law offered to take them Friday night so we could have a date night and then sleep in on Saturday...and that is exactly what we did! We went to eat at one of our favorite mexican restaurants and then went to see this...
It was SO funny!!! We laughed so hard, our faces hurt! I want to see it again and will definitely get it when it comes out on DVD! It's one of those movies you can watch over and over!
Saturday, we slept in and it felt GREAT! It even stormed so hard, but I must have been dead to the world, because I didn't hear a thing! I felt like a new woman after catching up on sleep!
Saturday night, Ryan was scheduled to preach at Lurton, and since we had to get the girls anyway, it worked out perfect! Although it was only one night, we REALLY missed them! I think they were pretty happy to see us too!
A very sweet friend of mine sent the girls these outfits for their birthday and I almost died from the cuteness when I got them in the mail! Obviously, it is VERY difficult to get a picture of the two of them standing still, but I wanted to at least get a picture of the whole outfit...it fit them perfect!
Daddy held them and someone else distracted them so I could snap one more!
(notice Lucy's missing shoe...it's a constant battle to keep shoes and hair bows on!)

While my MIL kept the girls, we also had the time to put in their new....
BIG GIRL CAR SEATS!
This was their first time to ride in them! They were too long for their other ones, but are still not big enough to turn around, so we decided to go with the convertible car seats. IF they ever weigh enough, maybe one day they can face the front! They love their new seats and love having more room too!

Sunday morning we got them all dressed up in another new outfit they got for their birthday! Of course, we were sweating trying to take a decent picture, but this one will have to do!
Weekends usually go by WAY too fast, but Ryan and I both feel like this one felt long and relaxing!
We're having a pretty good Monday, Lily has a pretty bad cough and Lucy has a runny nose, but it's all related to allergies I think. Hopefully one day soon, sickness and allergies will leave us alone!!!
Have a blessed week!

A Fun Day!

***I realize I should acknowledge the fact that I haven't blogged in months...MONTHS, but I won't try to catch you up...alot has happened, the girls celebrated their 1st birthday..which was a blast, but I won't DARE try to load the 1,000 pictures we have! Let's just say, it was fun and turned out wonderful! Their first year went by so fast, but it was great! Obviously they keep me too busy to blog, so I've decided, when I feel like it, I will blog! So, you're in luck...tonight, I feel like it! So here goes...
We had a really fun family day today in Little Rock! We've been busy every weekend here lately, so we decided to take a day trip and just spend the day together! We started off at one of our favorite restaurants....

FAMOUS DAVE'S!

It was SO good, the girls loved it too!

Then we headed off to The Wonder Place...we had thought about going here or the Zoo, but the weather looked like it might start raining and it was a little cool this morning, so we decided to go let the girls play! They had the BEST time!

Daddy and Lily shopping at the market...

and mommy and Lucy checking them out at the register!

Lucy and I climbed up the tree house and daddy and Lily met us at the window...they thought it was so funny to see each other through there!

This is a different window, it looks like a reflection I know, but Lily is on the right and Lucy on the left!

My little chef cooking up something in the kitchen...

My other little chef startin' up the stove!
Lucy baked a cake!

Lucy (looking terrified for some reason)

and Lily (looking like she's sick of all the pictures!)

Lily loved crawling through the tunnel!

Lucy giving herself kisses in the mirror!

Lily playing at the water table!

Time for puppets and dress up...

Yep, she wants to be a firefighter when she grows up...

After all that playing, we were ALL worn out!
But there was still time for ONE more stop.....

THE MOST MAGICAL PLACE ON EARTH!!!!!
I seriously want to move to Little Rock JUST to work here! I could live in there, seriously! Ryan didn't trust me alone in there (who am I kidding, neither did I!) so we all went in and went down EVERY isle, I'm not kidding, ask Ryan! EVERY. SINGLE. ISLE.
Luckily, I was able to control myself (with a little help from the man holding the money), but we did pick up one of these little cuties!

We got the pink (of course) pig swing lid trash can to put in the girls' room! I love it!
We had a great day and are all pretty tired! It's so nice to have days like today to just enjoy my family! We will be going back soon for a visit to the Zoo! Can't wait for that!
We just knew the girls would be so sleepy and go right to bed, which they did, but Lucy has been up 3 or 4 times battling a fever (again!), we gave her another dose of meds and hopefully she's down for the count! I'm just praying this fever business ends or else, back to the doctor we go on Monday!
Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday!
(I hope the girls feel better so we can go to church!)

Not in the mood...

Well, I hate to say it, but I have just NOT been in the mood to blog lately. I want to, but just can't seem to do it. As always, I have a ton of pictures to add, but as most of you bloggers know, it takes forever to add them and I just don't have the time. Sure, if I restricted myself to 2 or 3 pictures each post, then yeah, not so bad. But I can't...there is so much going on around here and so much to say! You know how I like to have pictures to go along with my stories! Anywho, we were in Jonesboro last week visiting my family and I still haven't unpacked and today I was busy trying to throw Ryan a mini birthday party...so I'm worn out! I'm going to add some pics to facebook because it's SO much easier and faster. I'm going to take a break (like I haven't already) from blogging for a while. Most of you probably don't care, but for those of you who do..I'm sorry, I just don't have the time! I barely have time to check my e-mail...so blogging, as much as I love it, must be put on hold until I feel the urge to get back into it!
Love you all!!

Birthday Party Fun!

The girls got to attend their little friend's 1st birthday party yesterday! This was the first party for a baby close to their age that they have been to! They even got their own invitation! They got another invitation for a little girl in our church who is turning one next week! It's so cute that they are getting mail!

This is Piper! She is so stinkin' cute!
Her mommy used to be my boss when I worked at the bank!

The party was at 1pm on Sunday, right after church, so Amanda had La Huerta's catered in! It was SO good! I had been looking foward to it all week! (There was even the yummy white cheese dip there!)

This cake was so good! It was an ice cream cake, but there were some problems getting it out of the box! It got a little messed up, but who cares how it looks, it was still SO good!

She was so cute digging in her little cake! It didn't take her long to figure out that it was okay to just dive right in!

I have no idea what the girls were staring at...maybe the balloons on the table!

This picture cracks me up! It was about naptime for all these babies! But I wanted a picture with Amanda and Piper and the girls! My other former co-worker and friend, Kayla, was also there and I got some cute pictures of her too, but can't seem to find them!

Lucy tried out Piper's highchair! We have opted out of highchairs, because first of all, as you can see, they are still a little small for them, and second of all, two highchairs in my kitchen?! I would like to have room to walk please! So we feed them in their bumbos on the bar. (don't worry, it's a big bar, and they won't fall! :-( ) Then I think we'll just move on to the boosters that strap into the dining room chairs.

Lily finally got a hold of one of these balloons, she loved it!

They finally got so worn out from all the partying!

Lucy decided to finish her nap when we got home!

Sunday night at church, I had a helper! This is Bethany, she's our friend's oldest daughter! She is SUCH a big help and she said she would even come over after school sometime to babysit them while I clean or do laundry! How awesome would that be!
Well, we had a pretty fun weekend and today has been a pretty normal Monday...no fun pictures! Sorry! My inlaws did come to watch them for a couple of hours while I ran some errands though! Also, I took some cupcakes over to my neighbor the other day and today, she brought the dish back full of the BEST chicken spaghetti! Then later tonight, she brought over some banana nut bread! They are great neighbors! She's always bringing the girls toys or clothes and brings me diaper coupons!!!
Hope you all have a great week!
